A heaven for a digital nomad, Oaxaca State, Mexico!
After a 3 month visit in California the adventure carried on towards Mexico, more specifically the Mexican state of Oaxaca. A region with lot’s to offer a digital nomad and is off the beaten.
Mexico as a Digital Nomad destination?
Mexico has a lot of potential as a good digital nomad destination with the exception for a few parts of the country like Cancun.
Other than the normal things like it’s cheap and safe. Mexico offers most if not all the modern amenities that Canada or European country offers. Despite not having trains, mexico has a excellent way to get around. The long distance buses are cheap and a very effective way to move across the big nation.
The trip started with a flight from San Francisco to Mexico City (CDMX), Mexico. A buzzing city that truly never sleeps, there’s always something to do in one of the biggest cities in the world.
Oaxaca State
After the week in CDMX i continued to my real destination, the digital nomad heaven of Oaxaca state!
Puerto Escondido
It’s a small surf town on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca that offer anything a digital nomad might want. Small cafés with good internet connection, co-working spaces, beaches and a active nightlife.
I stayed and worked from the hostel/co-working space Casa Losodeli.
Oaxaca City
One thing to know about Oaxaca City is that it’s cold in december, very cold! Compared to the 30ºC weather in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca is freezing literally! As the temperature could touch the 0 Celsius mark early mornings.
